Type of ship

The types of ships include passenger ships, cargo ships, engineering ships, fishing boats, speedboats, etc.

1. Passenger ships: Passenger ships are ships specially used to transport passengers and their luggage and mails, mostly for regular scheduled sailings.

2. Cargo ships: Ships mainly carrying goods and carrying less than 12 passengers, such as oil tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, etc.

3. Engineering ship: An engineering ship is a ship specializing in some kind of above-water or underwater engineering. There are complete sets of working machinery installed on it to complete specific tasks, such as waterway assurance, port operations, water conservancy construction, offshore construction, rescue and salvage, etc.

4. Fishing boats: Fishing boats are vessels used to catch and harvest aquatic animals and plants. It also includes some auxiliary vessels for modern fishing production, such as those engaged in aquatic product processing, transportation, aquaculture, resource survey, fishery guidance and training, and fishery administration tasks.

5. Speedboats: Speedboats are mainly used for water entertainment, or boats for rowing competitions. Speedboats are small in tonnage, high in speed, and flexible in maneuverability. The displacement is usually tens to hundreds of tons, the sailing speed is 30 to 40 knots, and some can reach 50 knots, and the endurance is 500-3000 nautical miles.
